Control topology across module variants
Document node identification, connector pinout, sensor locations and how variants differ. Use revision control to prevent a mechanically similar circuit from being installed in the wrong module. The traceability guide helps identify the material, build and test records the program needs with each delivered lot.

Review tolerance accumulation and pack movement
Provide bus structures, attachment locations and the variation expected across the full module or pack. Identify relative movement from assembly and operation as project inputs. The strain-relief plan should show how the sensing route accommodates those conditions without transferring unintended load into connections.
Specify connection methods, exposed areas and system-required isolation criteria. Include owner-approved constraints for fixtures and assembly handling. A flexible substrate does not remove the need to review clearances, protection and the joining process in the complete pack environment.
Tie qualification to the released construction
Agree which bare-board tests, connection checks and pack-level verification are required and who performs them. Record the actual construction used for qualification. Assess later changes to materials, reinforcement, panel processing or joining against the evidence they could affect. This page does not claim automotive approval, vehicle-program acceptance or a qualified manufacturing process.
Before you release the design
- Provide controlled node and connector mappings.
- Identify module variants and marking requirements.
- Supply pack-defined exposure and isolation conditions.
- Agree change approval, records and qualification responsibilities.
Watch points
- A passed test on one module geometry cannot automatically support another route, connector mapping or joining process.
Practical questions
Does specifying automotive use define all requirements?
No. Supply the program’s actual specifications, document revisions, test expectations and approval process. The application label is not a complete manufacturing requirement.
Can a material substitution be treated as equivalent?
Only after a documented review of the affected electrical, mechanical, process and qualification requirements by the responsible parties.
