Give the required arrival date and the date a complete package will be available. Use the fabrication package checklist to expose missing stack, finish, connector or test information. An unresolved engineering question can hold a build even when the nominal production route is short.

Map the dependencies that can move the date
Ask for schedule assumptions around material procurement, tooling, construction approval, fabrication, assembly and acceptance. The assembly scope adds component availability, fixtures and test preparation. Identify tasks that can proceed in parallel and those that require an approved predecessor.
For each dependency, record an owner and decision date. If a material alternative is proposed, include time for technical review and any repeated verification. Expediting one fabrication operation cannot remove a missing component, unapproved substitution or unavailable functional-test fixture.
Define what completion means
Clarify whether the requested milestone is bare-board completion, accepted assembled units, dispatch or arrival. Include packing and shipping assumptions in the commercial discussion. For prototypes, reserve time after delivery for inspection and design changes. Communicate changed files promptly, because even a small revision may invalidate tooling or restart an earlier review step.
