Describe the project in functional terms
State the circuit’s role, operating environment, installed shape or movement, and the intended build stage. Include prototype and expected recurring quantities as separate entries, with desired dates rather than assumed production promises. Use the quote readiness builder to collect these details and download a plain-text brief that can accompany your controlled technical files.

Attach one consistent technical definition
Identify the part and revision, outline, region stacks, coverlay, reinforcement, connector part numbers, finish, and special electrical requirements. Link to the drawing checklist when a requirement is difficult to express in prose. For assembly, include the BOM, placement data, support assumptions, and test scope. List each attachment and its revision so the recipient can identify missing or conflicting files.
Ask for a comparable quotation
Request that the response identify included processes, tooling or setup charges, engineering assumptions, delivery basis, and exclusions. Mark acceptable alternatives clearly and require proposed substitutions to be named. Use the quote comparison guide when responses arrive. Clarify unresolved technical items before interpreting one price as equivalent to another.
Review before sending
Read the downloaded brief alongside the attachments and remove obsolete options. The browser worksheet does not automatically upload your design data. Send the reviewed package through the inquiry channel you choose, and preserve the exact submitted version with later clarifications. A quote-stage estimate should not silently become fabrication authorization for an unresolved design.
Before you release the design
- Separate required features from preferred solutions.
- Identify every attachment by part, revision, and purpose.
- List requested quotation inclusions and reporting needs.
- Review the complete brief before choosing an external inquiry channel.

- An attractive unit price is not comparable if tooling, assembly, or test scope differs.
